Post 911 had little influence in Craig McCaw's team's choice.

It would have been understandable that, to improve the America's chances to return to America, that oneWorld choose to not face Stars&Stripes. Instead, it seems that they feared more Orm or Luna Rossa.

Frankly, Stars&Stripes' new boat is a definite improvement over the first one. And Dennis Conner is a wily, crafty guy. We do not necessarily share the same evaluation, but we certainly are not complaining about oneWorld's choice.
