Speachless

Everything was going fine in the fourth race. Spithill wins the start, and LR takes an impressive lead. a 100 meters delta at the first cross...

A normal match race would have the issue almost decided, save for major quirks. But we weren't seeing everything.

LR took 100 meters in 8 minutes. Significant. Maybe they got greedy, as they were not trying to manage the opponent. Another three-odd minutes pass before they cross anew. And damage is apparent at that point with a shift favouring TNZ. Rather than bouncing them out, LR tacks in an attempt to garner that extra pressure.

Not textbook match racing; a risk taking move. Graels' tactics surface quite clearly. The tack time, plus that to get back up to speed and TNZ is overlapping and now sitting in a favoured position. They go on to bounce LR off and take command. Stretching out bit by bit. As a worthy Challenger should.

Packing it in today? tomorrow? Friday? We'll see. But it is hard to imagine TNZ making as many blunders as to lose 5 in a row. And the boat difference is not great enough to eke out 5 wins in a row.
