The Giant Awakes ?
During yesterday's race, Oracle guys must have felt low, having lost of 6. But in the evening, reality dictates that they just have to wipe their minds clear. This is not like LR's 2000 AC situation where a win was prayed for, just to look good. Oracle has a fast boat, tacks and gybes faster than the rest. Today Dickson enters from the right, and odds are he isn't going to muff it. The rest may simply just flow through. The start should also be vital in the TNZ-Desafío match.

LR could be excused for letting their guard down a bit. Somewhat more after Ellison bounced Dickson off the helm. This is not a corporate boardroom. It probable made the men's confidence that much more brittle.

Spithill still beats Oracle's helsman, forcing him to the unwanted side and with akward speed. LR pulls away by 33 seconds windward, then manages. Spithill reitereated how they had learned their lesson in race 2...

The semi was won with Spithill towering over the pre-starts, a weatherTeam-Grael duo that always picked the first shift and streaking upwind speed.

Barker, on the other hand, made an uncharacteristic mistake. While Jablonski just wanted to come off the line right, Barker wanted the left (which was correct) but was forced to come off the line real slow. Only 12 second delta upwind, but leeward, TNZ could not challenge -even when only 8 seconds behind. One takes note...
