Pre-starts are very decisive. Oracle and ML just outpace their opponent. Spithill makes +39 take a penalty then crowds their position and speed up. All can 'manage' with Oracle and LR to get their official pass to the semis.
Shosholoza has eked out a lead at the very end of the first mark. Very good work. Excellent entertainment they have provided! Barely congratualted, a bad jybe lets Desafìo squeeze around. And slowly grind out a consistent lead. And now for the big (re-)match!
Desafìo miscues timing in trying to crows out ML, resulting in a reversal of fortunes with ML taking a 20 meter lead. ML can pick sides & wind, but cannot extend. The first marker has Desafìo with a faster maneuver but in ML's dirty air. Nonetheless they manage to round them, as they did to Shosholoza. Desafìo is good at these leeward maneuvers, what is becoming a difference-maker in the LV Cup. Then ML throws it all away with an awful gybe. With 7 points lead over ML and one match against team DE, ML is out of it.

Most interesting today is Shosholoza vs Desafìo, less so the derby LR+39. But then there is the remake of ML-Desafìo.
Interesting. Victory wanted a review of the ML-Desafio case. Rather than focussing on the logic 'breach no effect on outcome but decision which can change the outcome', their argument was that the result should stand, but somehow penalise ML. i.e. no points awarded. Rascals! obviously turned down.
