11 to 14 knots... Some showers to throw pressure curves at ya! Let's see how TNZ does in these conditions

Flight 8 has ML up against Shosholoza. Flight 9 will provide some confirmations with LR against TNZ and ML versus Oracle. Veri pertinent for competition.

Victory Challenge gets two gifts from the French. Maybe Areva prefers stronger winds. But bad French moves.

ML, agressivly, takes an advantage at pre-start. Then grinds out more speed. Good tactics and winds shift reading brings Shosholoza in closer to make everyone nervous circling.

Flight 9 promises: Desafio vs Victory and... LR against TNZ!

Desafio chooses better wind pressure and dominates Victory Challenge. A fight at the finish, but Desafio prevails. Deservedly positioned for semis.

On dial-up TNZ takes a not-so-smart penalty. Then make the same course choice as the Swedes. LR will not complain. Luna Rossa still shows communications breakdown after the windward gate, cacelling their lead. But tactics are well set out: a chain of good decisions and 150m lead materialises.
After losing the lead, Torben and Spithill play tactically with a cool head. Beautiful to watch. Feelings confirmed: strong tactics, but nto so sure about speed. Almost had the impression TNZ was testing a few things out.

China Team out until next week: structural problems. Only points for +39...

South course not fit for sailing. Two race moved to north race, just under 1830 cutoff time. So ML Faces Oracle. Long and exciting day.

Interesting start where ML is the first to cross in front of the other's bow following a wind shift. ML throws the opportunity away by tacking too close and gives away 20 seconds at top mark.

Then they took it easy on the equipment. Awaiting the derby against LR at the next flight, which will hurt one of the two.
